*We lived in the above KOA cabin for about 3 days after living in a different one for about two days.
Let’s get back to it shall we?
As you might know if you have read any of this, we have made this gigantic leap to live far away from all that was comfortable for us, and are on this new adventure with the Lord. There has been a totally huge amount of prayer for us on the way, and there is a lot of prayer going on right now.
I believe one of the things God has really done for us is make us so much more aware of our dependence on Him.
Like we are completely leaning on Him to complete the sale of our home. Sure, we have a realtor, and she is lovely, but we do not for a moment doubt God is the one who is at the head of this. We also have been praying a lot about it.
Praying for your home to sell can be an odd undertaking. You need the place to sell, so you ask God to make a way. You also kind of don’t want God thinking you don’t trust Him in this so you will add the stuff about waiting on Him and trusting in His timing. And yes you do, but you also kind of really want timing to be lightning fast. You also might sometimes feel like you need to say things like that for God. Or is this just a thing with me? Like seriously sometimes I feel like God wants me to put it a certain way. In my heart I know it isn’t true and I am not fooling anyone. He isn’t impressed by my choice of words. He also isn’t holding a list of wordsI need to use and say before He moves when He chooses and He has my best in mind. Even when I don’t see it.
Still the things I say and do sometimes it is a strange little dance that I am learning to not do. I am learning to do my own walk with God RATHER than just a dance. I think the dance is part of the “Daddy do you love me?” thing stuck from my childhood. I know now yes, He does.
For where we moved, Gaylord. That prayer was easy. We have prayed and asked the Lord to use us here. We are praying we can plant roots here and make good friends here. We also want to pray to want good friends here (we can love our own awesome bubble at times).
Our home prayer. (no not actually typing one down):
We are praying for a buyer for our home, praying for their lives, praying our home will be a blessing to them, praying they will find peace there, praying for our realtor and praying for this home to sell quickly because they have the necessary funds and approvals to make this happen. We are praying for a swift close.
Can I tell you what we got? FIRE. Not in our home but near where we live. Just saying. OUCH! That is for another day because I am getting long winded here.
We are also praying for our new home. Those prayers are way easier and I actually can fully say I am leaning on the Lord and trusting for His best on this. I am not half as tied up with time as maybe I should be. Especially when you consider winter is coming. No funny quote from TV there. It really is coming here in Michigan and probably a lot sooner than we expect.
Here we are praying for our sellers, praying the Lord leads us to the right place, praying for a good commute because again winter is coming, praying for our realtor, praying for all the paperwork to take very little time, and praying we see what we need to see.
Most of all we are praying to keep our eyes forcused on Him and not on the things He is working on without our freakouts.
Do you own a home? Did you pray for it first? Were you patient in the process?
